Bluetooth 2.0
Bluetooth 2.0 is the next generation of Bluetooth connectivity. With Bluetooth 2.0 one of the biggest advantages is the possibility of listening to music with a compatible wireless headset in stereo. Less wires, less mess, more noise.
Wi-Fi
With Wi-Fi you can use your Sony Ericsson G900 on O2 to connect to a local wireless network (W-LAN) to connect to the internet. This offers a cheap (sometimes free) method of connecting to the net to download emails, files, or check on your favourite website.
3G
3G stands for third generation, and the system is the third generation in the evolution of phone networks, after analogue and GSM. 3G offers high speed data transfers and the ability to make video calls between compatible handsets
Music Player
With a built in music player, you can carry your tunes with you on your O2 G900, in your pocket, and listen to them when you want. Most digital formats are recognised on the phone, including MP3 and AAC.
Stereo FM Radio
With a Stereo FM Radio built in, you will always have access to the latest tunes on your phone. Tune in to your favourite station, whenever you want, straight from your phone
Email Client
The Sony G900 has an email client, which will allow you to receive email from your own personal email account, and send pictures, videos or text emails to any email account anywhere in the world. Email access on the phone is simple to set up and a cost effective way of keeping in touch
RSS Feeds
Use your O2 Ericsson G900 to view up-to-the-minute news and other content from selected Web sites and blogs. Just subscribe to the feed and let it come to you.
The Sony Ericsson G900 lets you choose how you want to use your phone. Make a call, listen to a song, and visit a Web site. With the G900 it is simple and straight forward. Use the key control - or just touch the screen with your finger to make it happen. You can even use the stylus to write in your own handwriting. Quick and easy, no keyboard needed. The inclusion of a 5.0 megapixel camera lets you take print-quality photos. Setting the picture's focus area is as easy as touching the screen. Take your photo, then share - blog it, email it, and send it to friends.
RG - UK-10/09/2008 The Sony Ericsson G900 is a fantastic phone for those wishing to organize themselves. With the calendar function, notes application, Wi-Fi connectivity, and touch screen capability it's like having a laptop in your hand. I'm glad I traded up from my Sony W810i; it seems like an old brick now I'm using the G900.
GK - Norfolk-26/08/2008 I am generally very pleased with my new Ericsson G900 phone and all the functions it has. I have moved over from a K750i model which has been very good except the joystick which has a mind of it's own. Early days with the G900, but build quality and finish are superb! The menus vary a little from the traditional Ericsson but will be fine with a little more practice. The WLAN feature is brilliant
AW - Basingtoke-19/08/2008 A phone that has Wifi, a 5 megapixel camera and a touch sensitive screen all in such a compact case, what more can you ask for! The phone is great and finally I have all the features I need to organise and connect my busy life! Well done Sony Ericsson for producing a phone that fits in your pocket but has all the features of the larger smart phones, perfect for the young professional!
PG - UK-19/08/2008 I have had the Sony Ericsson G900 for over a week now and am still exceedingly happy with the handset. I bought the phone because I was so impressed with my previous k800i and liked the look of the new features added to the G900. Some of the great features just to mention a few are; wi-fi, hand writing recognition, scratch pad and quick office. I would highly recommend this phone.
FJ - UK-19/08/2008 My new phone is brilliant. Exactly what I was looking for at the price i could afford. The touchscreen is just awesome and although still getting used to it I am sure that I will still love it come the time my contract ends.
GK - UK-19/08/2008 I brought the G900 as soon as I saw an email saying it was available and I knew I would love it from the get go. As soon as I unboxed it I started to compare it with my last two phones the SE t610 and W850, so you could say I love SE's. Software wise I cant fault it, it has what I need but not what I want, it is missing Code Memo that I had on the last phone and used a lot and at the moment I have to get used to a UIQ phone and find valuable apps that might appeal to me. The phone speed is not lightning fast but the touch interface does make up for it somewhat. Hardware wise I love the size of the phone, the screen size and the nice fine details like the knurled edging, which is also on the led cover on the side by the SE data port, the stylus holder doesn't look out of place and the way the directional pad looks so classy. All the buttons are easy to press especially with my fingers though the camera button on the side is the only let down; sometimes when I press it I'm not sure if I did. I do have to say the handwriting is fun and very intuitive when entering text except for 1-3 letters I didn't know how to enter until I looked at the book. So far the only apps I have used are Google Maps and Opera Mini and both I have used the Wi-Fi to download, it was quick and easy to get Wi-Fi up connected to my router at home. Once you go online you want to download stuff straight to it but you only have 160mb to play with so a M2 card is needed and all I have are Pro Duos for my W850, PSP, Sony T9 camera. All in all it is one of the best phones I've ever had, it may have its little quarks but you will learn to get along.
SR - UK-19/08/2008 I got this phone for its advanced features - including a 5 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and a touch screen. It doesn't disappoint in those respects. The touch screen is excellent, wireless internet connects easily and the camera takes decent pictures. The phone is a fully featured PDA, and has brilliant handwriting recognition so you can doodle all your messages on the screen! My only problem with it is the sluggish software which often pauses whilst it thinks what to do next - which can be very annoying! I'd like to have seen more games pre-loaded too, as there's only one. Overall a smart, light and high-tech phone.
DK - GB-19/08/2008 I have just bought a Sony G900 and am very pleased with it. The phone itself is quite light and compared to my previous phone, a K850i, it is very slim. The camera is superb and has a very neat panoramic function. I would definitely recommend this phone, especially if you want a camera phone and organiser with e-mail. One negative comment is that the software does appear to take a little while to 'warm up' so don't try pressing too many buttons straight after start up as it will lock.
